e I do, I have no idea where to start. My brain has about 50 different directions it can go in and I can never pinpoint which way I want to go. So I'll start here. :) I heart Tim Lincecum. Like, a lot. (I just watched the Giants game and he's fresh on my brain) No one understands why but I don’t care. I'm fully convinced- in this pretty little brain of mine- that he and I are completely meant to be. I refer to him as my boyfriend, but I better stop because I’m about to start believing it. I think I should have my people call his people.....but first, I need "people". So if anyone knows where I can get these so called "people", please contact me. Thanks. I also went to my first Giants game on March 28th and it was sooooo much fun!! I can’t wait to go again!Let’s backtrack a little to last November when my little Flicka was born!!!! I know my last post was written before SHE arrived! Yes my sister had a little girl!!! There are no words
to describe how excited I was/am to have my little niece. I love that I have both a niece and a nephew now. Oh how I love my little Trent monster too! November 15, 2010 little Miss Presley Marie Short was born! I simply adore this little nugget! I like to call her my little lifesaver, because lets face it, without seeing her adorable little face to pull me out of my funk (well, her and my therapist), I might not be here today to be filling you in on all things Coat. She is 100% a mini version of my sister. So cute. I love every moment I get to spend with her.So my new year’s resolution, (I had a couple) was #1: be a better person. Done. Lol (maybe, but my recent life situations wouldn’t prove this statement to be true. More on that in a moment) #2: Use coupons! It’s April 19th and I’ve yet to use one coupon in my life. Lord knows this girl needs to save any money she can! I just don’t understand how to use them. #3: Be single and focus on ME! I’ve already failed this one by entering a very bad relationship, but I’m starting it over again. I went against my gut and got body slammed to the ground. (I hope that graphic description was exaggerated enough for you, reader, to get the idea) Also, I think I’m ready to start my actual career and get my life moving in the right direction. I’m so ready to move to San Francisco. Every time I go there I just feel at home and I feel like anything is possible. I literally get depressed when I leave. :(
Now, on to more current life situations. I feel like either I’m learning a major life lesson (I think it’s a whole bunch of little ones all thrown at me at once) or I have major karma coming back and kicking me in the ass. But I don’t really think I’ve done anything bad enough in my life to deserve such an ass-whooping. My mom says it’s just a life lesson, I say shit, that’s some life lesson! I don’t trust people very easily nor do I let people in to my life very easily and within the last 6 months I’ve let 2 strangers in that have completely let me down. One of which, Jose to be specific, basically chewed me up and spit me out. There’s not a whole lot I can say about this experience other than, wow. There was always something a little off with that one but I ignored it because I like to give everything/everyone a chance and frankly I’m a little too optimistic and have entirely too much faith in fellow mankind. I always thought I was smarter than that and that it would never happen to me because I’m a good person, but no. It got me and it got me good. Apparently being a nice person has nothing to do with it. C’est la vie. But I’m going to continue to believe there is good in all of us and I’m going to continue to be optimistic with new people and situations that come into my life because I just can’t bring myself to have a pessimistic outlook on life. Yes, this leaves me vulnerable for heartbreak and constant let downs, but I’m hoping in the end, when its my turn, it will all pay off and I’ll not only meet an amazing man to be my life partner but also have an amazing career and life to go along with it. It’ll happen, I just know it.
So I signed up for a 5k in August. I’m super excited and at the same time wondering what the hell was I thinking. Jamie found me a 9 week training workout that is couch-5k in 9 weeks and as impossible as that seems to me at the moment, I think its doable. When I was in school and they said I would be designing and sewing my own dress from scratch in 10 weeks I didn’t believe it and look what happened! I had the most amazing dress from my own creation in just 10 weeks. So I’m going into this with the same mind set. My master plan is that I will be able to run 5k by the time my surgery comes, and then after I heal and can workout again it’ll be a little easier to get back into it. Not to mention I’m hoping my boobs shrink down a little….but we’ve tried this before and I have had no such luck. I had day #1 of my workout yesterday……sweet baby jesus.
Are you asking yourself (and maybe rereading that last paragraph) did she say surgery!? Yes surgery. I’m going under the knife in 9 weeks (to the day) for breast reduction #2. Yes, I said #2. Why? Because my boobs WON’T-STOP-GROWINGGGGG!! Seriously?! My luck. I’m sure most of you reading this don’t see a problem with this, but try having two melons on the front of your chest 24 hours a day and tell me how you feel.
Random note: I really want to write a book. I totally think I could do it.
Actually, I want someone to write my biography. I mean, why not? Lol. Who says I have to be a celebrity to be interesting? Who says I have to have some amazing talent? I have a shit show for a life, isn’t that interesting enough?! Picture it: E! True Hollywood Story: Coat. I know you’d watch it. (or at least DVR it)
For those of you who know me, in all of my 26 years of existence, McDonald’s has been my life. For those of you who don’t know me, in all of my 26 years of existence, McDonald’s has been my life. (Hahaa.) It’s the family business; in all of its glory, those golden arches have been shining bright my whole life. I’ve grown up in the restaurant at 2400 Geer Rd and have plenty of memories to share with you to keep your ears burning for hours. But this week, after 30-some years of business we have closed the doors, closed a huge chapter in the Jevert family, and started to dismantle and remove every piece of equipment from fryers to security cameras to the tiles in the ceiling. Now, before you freak out and say “nooooo!!! I can’t live without my sweet tea!” we ARE coming back! In approximately 90 days to be exact, we will be opening the doors to a brand new MickeyD’s fresh and open for new memories to be made. Definitely the beginning of a new (huge) chapter for us Jevert’s. I went into the store yesterday, and with the rent-a-fence barricading the property as if it were in time-out, there was definitely a sad, surreal, eerie feeling to the place. No music playing, no beeping of fryers and stoves, no crew members talking over each other, and no “order #275 you’re order is ready” being yelled across the lobby. Just a bunch of strangers in my house hauling things away. The only positive thing to this whole rebuild is hopefully I’ll lose a little weight since I can’t eat there every freakin day. It sucks being a broke ass hoe and relying on the restaurant to keep me from starving. It’s def nice having free food, but not so nice not having any self control.
I've pretty much brought you up to speed (eh, for the most part) with all that is Coat. I know I say this all the time but I really will try harder to keep up to date with my posts....I mean, because I'm so fascinating and all. ;) So until next time...I'll be plotting my plan of attack ;) kisses! xoxo
