You make me feel like I’m living a teenage dream

And my heart stops when you look at me.

Those would be the lyrics from Katy Perry’s new song which totally explains how I feel at the moment. I decided I’m going to share some stuff that’s really personal to me and I probably shouldn't share it here seeing as how I have NO idea who reads this, but……whatevs. So I met this guy a couple months ago, I’m just going to call him….cupcake. ;) I knew he was different from any other guy I've met from the moment I started talking to him. (Call it a woman’s intuition if you will) Not that that really means anything. He has an awesome personality and he makes me laugh. I don’t think I’ve ever met a person that makes me so happy just by talking to them, in my life. Talking to him instantly puts me in a better mood and leaves me with a smile on my face for hours. If that happens just by talking to him, how do you think I feel when I see him? Yeah. It scares the crap out of me. He makes me feel like I’m the only person in the world when we talk and I felt incredibly comfortable around him from the moment I met him. (Which for those of you who know me, know that doesn't come easy for me) He’s totally someone I know I could fall head over heels for…IF (and that's a biiiiggg "if") I let my guard down…but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, I’m not in any hurry to get my heart broken any time soon. We aren't dating or anything, we're just friends (which in a way, I think, makes it harder) It all seems too good to be true…..

Ok, ok, ok that^ was written and was how I felt a couple days ago. Granted, 99% of the feelings are still the same (you just can't help how you feel) only now, I’ve seen the light and I know that I’m just being played. So now, naturally, I have my guard so far up that I can barely see past it. Nice, right? Don’t get me wrong, he’s still an awesome guy, and I would love to get to know him better, its just now I know where I stand. He doesn't want to date anyone. (Story of my life, right?) Not saying I’m ok with it, but, well, it is what it is.

Ok enough of that...

Last night I went out for drinks with my friend Sam, whom I have known and been friends with since the 7th grade. We were in much need of a catch up sesh because it's been entirely too long. We had some refreshing beers at Chili's (duh) and gossiped over some delicious queso. We covered everything from past to present, job, love life (or lack there of on both our parts) and where we want to be in both the near and distant future, the cross country road-trip that we still need to complete and where we want to move to in order to find our future husbands. Which btw we decided either Texas or Tennessee. Or North Carolina or Georgia. You know, one of those nice country states. I've always wanted to live in either North Carolina or Georgia for at least 6 months to a year, just to see what its like. Don't get me wrong, I love Cali, I just want to know what its like in other parts of the country. You know, where it's not so expensive to live, the people aren't so rude and where they have a nice little accent :) And as Sam said last night, "There's plenty of fish in the sea, but the thing no one ever told you is the "sea" isn't Turlock." So with this whole idea of a move, I'm hoping to find a nice southern gentleman where ever it is I end up, but preferably one who isn't a super religious conservative. I think I just really narrowed my odds....

But don't think that's my only plan! If the whole southern gentleman thing doesn't work out, maybe I'll move to Orange County. Not only is that the home to corporate offices of Quicksilver, Fox, DC, Hurley (and many, many others) where I've always wanted to work, its also the home to a lot of "bros". You know what I'm talking about (well I know a couple readers that probably don't, so this lil definition is for you, courtesy of Urban Dictionary. You're welcome ;) ) BRO: A usually white young male, found commonly in places like San Bernardino and Orange County, CA. Always without exception, drive big lifted trucks, often white. Has the name of their crew or whatever in big white letters on their back window (i.e.: "skin" or "metal mulisha") Wear trucker hats off center, sunglasses, wife beater shirts, sagging dickies shorts, high black socks, skater shoes or those black corduroy slipper things, have lots of tattoos (soooo hott) of things like stars. And I would just like to add to that list, motocross racers. Need I say more? I think not. Although, most "bros" tend to have DOUCHE BAG written all over them, I can't help but be extremely attracted to them and I'm determined to find one who isn't a db. :)

I hope you enjoyed that little insight to my life, wasn't easy to do, but I don't care. I might regret it later though, so until next time....I'm pushing that little "publish post" button before I change my mind :) kisses! xo
